I don't like that it doesn't integrate with Australian banks.I use it more for budgeting & expense tracking than accounting, balance sheet monitoring & reporting.
I guess the writing's on the wall - time to find an alternative.
BANKTIVITY DIRECT ACCESS FOR MAC
How many other transactions has it altered since I began using the app? This makes me miss Quicken for Mac 2007. It also changed one line in the split transaction in my paycheck (now I pay my spouse's federal income tax). Banktivity changed the classification of the electric bill from a utility payment to property taxes. I used to look at the basics for each downloaded transaction (who, when, how much), but now I have to go through it with a fine tooth comb. It took me months to notice this behavior. Banktivty took a simple transfer and turned it into a scaled down version of my paycheck. It created split transactions for federal and state income tax, social security, insurance, etc. In the fall Banktivity decided that this was a paycheck instead of a simple transfer.
It downloads transactions and correctly records the DCRA deposit as a transfer from the DCRA account into checking. Banktivity is connected to my checking account. I'm not going to go into all the reasons Banktivity 5 is awful, but here is the latest.Įvery month I transfer money from a DCRA into my checking account. Maybe newer versions of Banktivity are better, but it will be a while until I can find out. I am completely sick of Banktivity 5 and I cannot upgrade until I buy a new Mac.
